About the event
The theme of this event is: Forest School as a Space for Neurodivergent Children to Thrive
What does it look like when a child's needs aren't met, and what becomes possible when we offer something fundamentally different?
In this reflective and practical session, Sarah and Hev share their experience of creating a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming Forest School where neurodivergent children are supported to regulate, connect and grow on their own terms.
Drawing on real examples from their practice, we'll explore:
How Forest School supports regulation and connection
Why traditional settings can be a poor fit for many neurodivergent children
What it means to meet a child where they are, without an agenda
